Rocky Knob is a large recreation area located on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Meadows of Dan and the Mabry Mill. It has a long 10 mile hiking trail called Rock Castle Gorge Trail, as well as a few others. There are many pullouts to view the mountains and peidmont of Virginia. The southern facing pullouts make it a great spot for viewing the sunrise.
