The other night, the fearless Yorkie and I made our way up Buffalo Mountain(again).  It's a great short hike with an awesome view. The sky was frustratingly clear on the western part of the sky, but that didn't stop the sun from letting off some highly saturated rays as it hit the horizon.

blue ridge mountain sunset on buffalo mountainblue ridge mountain sunset on buffalo mountain A really cool wall of fog was headed my way as the sun went down.  It was slowly stretching across the landscape.  In this video(after my exposure adjustment and loud noise of my moving around) you can see the fog creeping across the hills.

clouds over the blue ridge mountainsclouds over the blue ridge mountains Just after I took the photo below, the wave of fog completely surrounded me and dropped my visibility to nearly nothing.  Normally, on the hike down, there is plenty of ambient light to see the trail.  I am really glad I had my flashlight because it got DARK fast.
